PROCESS SIMULATION OF THE REACTANT GAS MOLECULAR DIFFUSION TO A POOR-DISPERSION COAL AT REST IN MINE OPENING

The steady process of the reactant gas diffusion in the poor-dispersion coal particles in the mine is considered. Two boundary problems are formulated, one of which describes a heterogeneous process of diffusion of the reactant gas to the exterior surface of the coal particles, and the other is a homogeneous process inside its volume.
Accurate solutions of problems are made and some regularities of the concentration changes of the reactant gas inside the volume of the coal particle are revealed.
It is shown that for small values of the coal particle mean radius it is possible to combine boundary value problems and construct their approximate solution. On its basis the influence of certain parameters of coal particles on the total resistance to chemical reaction on the exterior surface of a particle and inside its volume is revealed.
