AEROGASDYNAMICS OF DEAD-END HEADINGS

Typical aerogasdynamics schemes for dead-end preparatory excavations and aerodynamics of a stack of flexible mine ventilation pipes during the forced ventilation with local fans are considered.It is noticed that the methane release along the length of the dead-end headings is varied and has different intensity. The biggest amount of air leakage from the vent stack occurs near the heading mouth, near the fan, and as it moves toward the deadlock. It decreases while moving to the dead-end part.
