The Multifunctional safety system (MSS): from the concept to the implementation
The broad trend of increasing the depth of the mining development and its intensification by the modern efficient equipment leads to the geological and mining conditions complication and causes the increase of dynamic phenomena of variant physical nature, which includes accidents. The necessity of the control a large number of the rock massif technogenic changes parameters and mining enterprise technical processes arises for mining safety improving. It leads to the complication of control of development, coal-face and auxiliary works and, as a result, to the reduction of the mining enterprise control in general.
There is a need to progress to the higher level of mining safety, which can be achieved by the multifunctional mining safety system implementation (MSS).
MSS is primarily aimed at providing a target safety level (acceptable level of risk) with effective management of the underground coal mining enterprise.
